OWOSSO – The Curwood dog show winner Meko has made the journey from a lost stray in the woods to a pet with owners who believe in him.

Local PetSmart customers now have the chance to see SPCA shelter dogs being trained — and those who adopt the animals will receive free training classes from the pet store.

TrainPetDog.com, a website devoted to providing breed specific training information for dog owners, is offering donations to 500 needy dog rescues.
