SARASOTA COUNTY - A Verizon technician has filed a lawsuit against the former owner of Zeus, a 90-pound German shepherd who attacked him during a March 2007 service call at a Nokomis house.

Poochapalooza: The event for dogs and their people takes place from 1 to 4 p.m. Aug. 3 at the Spring Avenue dog park, at Route 53 and Spring Avenue in Glen Ellyn. Activities include an agility training course, a demonstration from Bill Camp’s Famous Flying Dogs and pet-related vendors.
