The weather is fine, and you’d love for your dog to get the kind of exercise and socialization that can’t happen at the end of a leash.

Thanks to a new dog 4-H club in Washington County, a competition has been resurrected. Leading the way are four fifth-grade girls with a lot of gumption and love for their dogs.

This has been a month of extremes. I’ve had much to work on because Tait has developed a nasty habit of growling at objects, sounds and people. This needs to be dealt with quickly, before a long-standing pattern develops.
