The Youth GrantMakers Council of the Greater Salina Community Foundation has awarded six grants totaling $5,600. n $1,600 to Sam McCary to teach students about the weather, the atmosphere and the environment by providing real time weather information at Salina South High School.

After a 17-year hiatus, Tri-State Field Trial Club held its spring field trial last weekend at the Peace Dale Shooting Preserve in Peace Dale. Sixty dogs were entered in the two-day event.
