“Do not pet the dogs.” That was the advice given to onlookers at a police dog training workshop held last week at Six Flags St. Louis.

A Fun Day is being held on Saturday, May 17, at the Macon County Fairgrounds Park. The event is being sponsored by the following: Whitetails Unlimited, DeltaWaterfowl, Quail Forever, Turkey Federation, and Missouri Department of Conservation. Times of the event are from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Rescue dogs and handlers from across Alaska gathered at the Musher’s Hall on Farmers Loop this weekend for a three days of training in crime scene investigation.
