GILBERT — It was an ideal day for teenagers with inquiring minds. The seventh, eighth and ninth graders of the Eveleth-Gilbert Junior High School immersed themselves in Discovery Day on Wednesday, dabbling in activities ranging from swing dancing to knitting to fishing to curling.

Question: Many of our neighbors have roosters, and they make terrible noise all morning. Why does the Hawaiian Humane Society respond to barking-dog complaints but not for crowing roosters? Animal noise is animal noise!
